About The Website Copywriter
Hey, I’m Anika
The most concise description I can give of myself is probably where backpacker down-to-earth vibes meet champagne in the right glass
Even if you hate bubbly drinks or have never left your own country, I know your dreams are pretty refreshingly human. You want to vacation without worrying about urgent emails, make cookies with your kids (or nieces and nephews) on a random Tuesday afternoon, and watch a movie all the way through without checking Slack.
It’s this humanness that creates words that sell
That’s how I capture your voice and speak directly to your ideal clients—because underneath all the strategy and psychology, we’re all chasing something. As a website copywriter, my job is to get to the heart of that.
So while this is technically my About page, it’s really about what we both want—a business that leaves room for the homemade sourdough, Saturday morning farmer’s markets, and maybe even business class tickets to the other side of the world.

Anika Rose Writes is built on…
Empathy
Great copy isn’t just about words—it’s about understanding the humans behind them. To write like you, I need to put myself in your and your ideal client’s shoes and figure out what you actually, truly want.
Ambition
Your goals? They’re not too big (even if it’s growing melons in a cold climate without a greenhouse. More on that later). You—and I—want to do great things. Let’s break through the “that’s how it’s always been done” ceiling and create something better.
Adaptability
You can run your business however is best for YOU—break the rules that don’t serve you, build a brand that feels good to you, and write your own story because being open is how we grow and find what’s best for us.
Inclusivity
Your values shape your story, and I’m always ready to try to understand your point of view. My own beliefs have been shaped by countless people, experiences, and education. I could honestly probably write a book about it. TLDR? I’m big on compassion, kindness, and finding the ethical way to do things.
What do cantaloupe and chameleons have in common? Not much. But it’s why I’m a website copywriter today.
It all started with me winning a writing contest at age 11 with my short story “Don’t Dare Me To Grow A Cantaloupe.” I had changed the setting to my (new) home location, a detail I was sure the judges would like. What did I learn? It pays to remember who you’re talking (or writing) to.
I became a chameleon, switching the words and phrases I used to fit in with my American friends, my Canadian parents, and my immigrant grandparents. And I would continue to do this until, well, today, as a copywriter, I use you and your ideal client’s words to write data-backed websites, sales copy, and brand voice guides.
I’ve come a long way from handwriting award-winning short stories in my school notebooks. I’ve written for clients all over the world, seen their websites rank on the first page of Google, and watched them book out months in advance. I’ve learned about UX, SEO, and neuropsychology and get to combine them to write really good websites. I’ve seen my personal work published and made friends who I’ll have for a lifetime.
What I’ve never done successfully yet, though? Grow a cantaloupe.
Because my friends think this is interesting
I want your copy to give you the happy-dance butterflies of the love of your life saying, “absolutely get the second $8 latte and book that trip to Italy”
Maybe too specific for a website copywriter? Ok what’s your dream then? Let’s make it happen.
I want you to feel after you work with me that your [insert word: crazy, simple, extraordinary] dreams are actually in reach. Your future self (and that Italian barista) will thank you.
